Terms, privacy, and how we handle your information
Last updated: June 2026 · Applies to all QueueQ users worldwide

This Privacy Policy explains how QueueQ ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our queue management and appointment booking platform.

The short version We collect the minimum needed to run a queue: your name and mobile number. We share it with the business you're booking with. We store it securely on Google Firebase. We don't sell your data. You can ask us to delete it.

1. Who we are

QueueQ is a software platform operated from Western Australia, Australia. We provide queue and booking software to service businesses (barbershops, salons, studios, clinics and similar). We are the data controller for information collected through our platform.

For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@queueq.app.

2. What information we collect

From customers booking a service

From business owners

Collected automatically

3. Why we collect it (lawful basis)

We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

4. Who we share it with

The business you book with

When you join a queue or book an appointment, the business can see your name, mobile number, booking details, and your service history with them. This is essential — they need to know who is coming and how to reach you. That business becomes an independent controller of your data and is responsible for how they use it under their own privacy obligations.

Our service providers

Legal and safety

We may disclose information if required by law, a court order, or a valid request from law enforcement, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of QueueQ, our users, or the public.

What we never do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.

5. International data transfers

QueueQ is used globally. Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, which may process and store data in the United States and other countries. This means your information may be transferred outside your home country, including outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

By using QueueQ, you consent to this transfer. Google maintains standard contractual clauses and appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

6. How long we keep it

You can request deletion of your data at any time (see below).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

To exercise any of these, email privacy@queueq.app. We will respond within 30 days. Note that if you ask us to delete data held by a business you booked with, we will pass the request on, but that business controls their own records.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls limiting which businesses can see which data.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and we are not liable for any unauthorised access, breach, or loss that occurs despite reasonable safeguards, including any breach occurring at the infrastructure level (for example, at Google Firebase).

9. Children

QueueQ is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 without parental consent. Where a minor is booked in for a service, we expect this to be done by a parent or guardian. If you believe we hold data about a child without proper consent, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Cookies and local storage

QueueQ uses only essential technical storage required for the platform to function (such as keeping you logged in). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that profile you across websites.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will change. Significant changes will be communicated to business owners by email. Continued use of QueueQ after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Last updated: June 2026 · For anyone using QueueQ to book or join a queue
Important QueueQ is software only. We do not provide haircuts, treatments, or any other service. Everything that happens inside a shop — the service, the safety, the outcome — is the responsibility of that business, not QueueQ.

1. Acceptance

By using QueueQ, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. What QueueQ is — and isn't

QueueQ is a queue management and appointment booking platform. We provide software that lets businesses manage their queue and lets you book or join it.

QueueQ does not:

Any contract for a service is solely between you and the business.

3. Health, safety, and premises

The business is entirely responsible for:

QueueQ accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for any injury, illness, allergic reaction, burn, cut, infection, adverse outcome, property damage, theft, slip, trip, fall, equipment failure, or any other incident occurring at, or arising from, any business premises or any service provided.

If something goes wrong with a service, your claim is against the business — not QueueQ.

4. Wait times and availability

All wait times, queue positions, and slot availability shown are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Actual times vary due to service complexity, no-shows, staff availability, and decisions made by the business.

QueueQ is not liable for any loss, cost, missed appointment, missed transport, lost wages, or inconvenience arising from inaccurate estimates, delays, or slot unavailability.

5. Queue and booking rules

6. Cancellations, refunds, and payments

Cancellation and refund policies are set solely by each business. QueueQ has no role in and no liability for any refund, fee, or payment dispute between you and a business. Where payments are handled in person, QueueQ is not involved at all.

7. Service availability and interruptions

QueueQ is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, timely, or free of viruses.

QueueQ is not liable for any loss arising from platform downtime, technical failure, data loss, bugs, internet outages, device incompatibility, or failure of any third-party service (including Google Firebase). If the platform is unavailable and you miss an appointment or lose your place in a queue, QueueQ bears no responsibility.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QueueQ and its owners, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to:

This applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, statute, strict liability or otherwise), and even if QueueQ has been advised of the possibility of such damage.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, QueueQ's total aggregate liability to you is limited to AUD $10.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

If you are a consumer resident outside Australia, nothing in these Terms deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer or data-protection laws of your country of residence, and you may have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts where such laws require it.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QueueQ from any claim, liability, damage, loss, cost, or expense (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your breach of these Terms, or any dispute between you and a business.

10. Governing law and disputes

11. Changes and severability

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use means acceptance. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
